In 2024, the Fraser Institute’s annual survey ranked Nevada number 2 in terms of investment attractiveness and number four in policy attractiveness. This high ranking is due to the number of boots on the ground. In the same time period, Nevada produced 5.5 million ounces of gold, accounting for over 80% of US gold production.
